The main TDS run occurs on
Saturday but many people are egger to get there wheeling
on show up early. Year after year on the Friday before
the run hundreds of rigs gather around one particular
section of large cracks in the ground to play. One
particular climb seem to be the must due obstacle of the
night. Truck after truck came up and gave it a try. Most
of the short wheelbase were denied, but a number of
longer wheel based Toyota such as Those driven by Chris
Jordan, Matt Messer, and John Robertson were able to
climb up and crest the top. Back at the main "Stage"
alley, all sorts of vendors were lining up around the
raffle. One new Jeep owners picked up a pair of bumpers
from one the vendors and bolted them on in the parking
lot to ready his rig for the big Saturday trail .
