Not currently but we are actively working on a 12" spline slip unit that uses stock Toyota fine spline.

Here is the prototype...

Does anyone else sell long spline drive shaft other than Marlin and Allpro ?

Cannot consider a square drive shaft, the truck is a daily driver and it snows in Colorado.

Thank You

Currently those are the only two places you can purchase the 8" drive shaft kit.

When will the proto type be ready for public sale, do you know how much it will cost ?

The stock splined unit does not compress/expand enough on my 83 pickup.

Thank You

What about Drive Line Service?
They have an 18" proprietary splined DL that they call the Travel Master.

I think we are looking at 3-4 months on this item. Without u joint or flange we are looking at something like $100 for the unit above. Later we will also offer the flange and U joint for those that want it.

Chris,
I called today to place an order and was advised the long-spline d-shafts are moving ahead of schedule and might be available as early as next week? If you can confirm this, I will hold off orering from another vendor.
Thanks :D

We just sent some protype units to High Angle driveline to be fitted into shafts for our Formula Toy. After we have tested the shafts on the buggy then we will start building production units. We really want to give them a good testing before we start making them It's going to be months before we have these for sale. Sorry for the confusion

Ended up paying a local Colorado shop $275 to build a shaft. The shaft has a 10 inch splined section, replaced one joint, its based on my old front shaft. The new one has 3.5 inches of compression, the rest if expansion.

Chris i am sceptical about a couple things -the size of the spline versus length - leverage also- i have a prediction of a breakage point near the smallr daimeter- if you want me to test it on mine i will- I think the spline we use is stronger and the strength needs to be looked at- Jess

One of the goals of this product is to use a factory style spline that is suitable for street use. I've never heard of a shaft failure on the male end of the yoke with Toyota style spline.

We want to keep the outside diameter as small as possible but after handling the first prototypes we have added material to the female part of the tubing.

Have you seen a failure of the male end before?

Chris its a matter of the length and leverage points are now in different places- it not only needs a larger barrel but a larger spline in my opinion- AS for the breakeage on the factory toyota stuff- its very very rare-But you have to take into account there engineering and material used - there made in Japan NOT CHINA- Jess

We are making some changes so it's going to be a few months yet. I am sorry it takes so long to design new stuff! I have had so many call about these, I wish I had them to sell now. I know people need them.

Hey Chris, my brothers are running Marlin's long spline kit and have had them two seasons now. The one problem we have encountered is that when the weight of the truck was put on the shaft it bent at the point where the male end bells up to the shaft tubing. The spline section and the sleeve section were both fine. It seems to me that the bell type section of the male end is not made of heavy enough material cause that is where it failed. Of couse most shafts probably aren't made to support your truck, it does happen from time to time and having seen when it happened, I don't think it should have bent as easily as it did.

On another note, we were there a week ago and you guys are doing great. Excellent customer service, the shop is very well organized, and all the employees we spoke to seem to love their jobs. Keep up the good work - we need more companies like this.

We have desided not to have these shafts made at this point. New prototype units are being manufactured now.
