well its about time i started my buildup. i am going to be doing a SAS w/ 5" TG springs up front, 5.29 yukon's prob a quick lock or something in that category.. 63" chevys with an addaleaf.. 36x12.50x15 tsl radials on 15x10 steel wheels.. warn x8000i, and hopefully a TG winch bumper if they are out somewhat soon..
well today i got the wagon out, i managed to get the front axle onto the wagon and lugged it from out back up to the garage..
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a44/supersportjim/000_0094.jpg
i got the brackets i dont need cut off and some ground down..

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a44/supersportjim/000_0102.jpg

Great work jimbo! That front axle looks like you could eat off it.
Looks like you've got some work to do out back for levelling it out. I did my Chevys similar to the sky kit (6" shackles, front eye as close to the frame as possible) and it looks like you got about the same amount of lift as I did. I don't think there are many good ways to lift those springs. An AAL will help with ride and maybe 1" or so, but I don't think you'll get it level without playing around with the spring pack or going to a longer shackle.

Maybe you'd sit a little higher in the front if you didn't borrow from an army tank to make your front bumper! That is strange that your springs didn't settle at all, especially as long as you've had them under there now.

yeah, they've maybe settled an inch... i'm happy with the height and shackle angle though. they're just a little on the soft side. and yeah... i know the army tank front bumper doesn't help. :p

Any rubbing issues with the firewall at all? If so, do you plan on tubbing it?
I am really torn right now on which way I want to go with my build. I'm leaning towards a 4" spring up front and just tubbing the firewall for 37s or moving the axle even further forward to not have too.

Just wanted to see an update, I am trying to decide between doing chevys in the rear or doing a TG rear kit. I am going to do the TG 4" front, if I go chevys in the rear do you think from your experience I would need a block, or just the overload spring?

I am going to do the TG 4" front, if I go chevys in the rear do you think from your experience I would need a block, or just the overload spring? i built a front bumper. ill upload pics when i stop being lazy..hhahaha.. but i would say that my 63's gave me about 3" of lift that was from a 2wd with an overload leaf. i would say to do an addaleaf as well. i got mine from summit.. then it was still sagging a good amount in the rear so i did a 1" block. not its just about level..
