View Full Version : Got my High-Steer Kit today

I received my high-steer kit from you guys today. Just wanted to give you some feedback. The online ordering process was a breeze, and the fact that you had everything in stock and shipped out THE SAME DAY of the order was incredible. The free delivery: AWESOME! The lower prices and free shipping you offered got my order, and probably future orders. The parts were delivered on time from UPS. The paint on the tie rod is a little banged up and chipped in a couple places, presumably from the drag link contact during the cross-country trip.

Good job guys, other than the cosmetic blems due to shipping, a good experience from a first time Trai-Gear customer. Only one other gripe: no stickers for free advertising :D

I believe Trail-Gear is one of the leading suppliers of parking blocks for ups. When they stop the truck, they pull out one of our boxes and put it under the wheel to hold the truck :)

Stickers will be finished soon, and everyone that has ordered from us will receive a package of stickers very soon.

Quick question, I'm assuming the drag link and tie rod are painted and not powdercoated since some of the paint is a little chipped. Any suggestions for touch-up? My normal paint of choice is black rustoleum.

It is a baked process similar to powercoating. Once you clean the oil off of it with degreaser you can use any paint, rustoleum is the best spray paint in my book.

This is probably a dumb question, but you guys don't pre-grease the tie rod ends, do you? I just want to double check to make sure before I pump 'em full of grease.

They have a small amount inside from the assembly process. We don't pump them up because it could leak out during shipping.

They only need a tiny bit of grease in them after you install them.

Dan ALL of our products come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We work really hard as a team to get the orders properly processed and shipped out. It really bugs me to see UPS just throw our stuff around. We are going to have a meeting with our UPS reps. about this issue.
I have already called you at home and you wont let me send you a new set so we are for sure going to send you a new T shirt to replace the one you got dirty while painting the tie rod, and a hat and some stickers. WE work real hard to take care of the customer, without you we are out of a job. Thats the bottom line. Thanx for your business

Wow! I thought my company was the only one in the world that was so customer service oriented. Thanks a lot for the call, John. I was extremely happy with the product, price, and the whole process. I wasn't trying to raise a stink at all, because I understand shipping damage occurs. (My company uses UPS to ship expensive robotic equipment, I feel your pain!). Just the phone call was enough to make a repeat customer out of me!! This is a prime example of EXCELLENT customer service that people like me appreciate and makes for loyal customers.
