Hi chris with my old runner we did the sas with a Y shaped crossover steering arm with a 3" spring lift no problems with hitting the sump etc.
Now we cant get the Y arm anymore would 3" be enough too run proper hi steer?
remember im in aus just after some input if you think the setup would be okay.
We have laws that wont allow more than 3" lift so not sure how to get arround it plus mine is the only sasd rig in the state.
Thanks for any help
Dave

The Y arm is going to put your drag link in the same place as high steer arm. Yes it can be done at 3" of lift but you must have bumpstops installed. You can also expect to loose a little of the travle. You may find that you need to notch the frame a little to clear for the uptravel of the draglink.

Thanks Chris
I was told here that the hi steer would be no good but thought as you said the drag link is the highest part.
I had to use bumpstops on mine so all will be good.
Should be easier the 2nd time around .
Thanks Dave

Changing the oil pan and pickup is also an option. The 2wd oil pan has a different pickup and allows more clearance for the rods of the steering.

Problem with changing the pan is the truck is a diesel so the 2wd doesnt have enough oil volume for the turbo etc.
but worth a look into.
Are you ever goin into RHD hi steer?
Im looking into steing up a bussiness for toyota SAS conversions and realy like your kits but there LHD  .
I am looking into geting a 20ft container of stuff if i can get a loan approved .
Thanks again Dave
