I'm going to be ordering the rest of my SAS in the next week or two and had a question. I see that for V6 applications you say that you have to go to the 5 or 6 inch lift SAS and not the 4 inch because of oil pan interference. Have you guys actually experienced this on a V6 truck?

I am asking because I would rather have the 4 inch lift over the 5 or 6 but my truck has the V6.

Thanks

i would say you could use 4" i have done it but you would need to mod your oil pan..notch it and re weld it..

What actually hits? The drag link or the diff?

Does each lift kit provide different size bump stop extensions? If they are all the same then won't all of the kits compress the same?

the draglink hits, more lift gives more room theres not alot around it that you can do with the v6..except notch the pan its not hard if your doing the swap??? some people let the draglink bend into thepan too?? but depends on how much clearence you have..

You can get buy with a 4 inch leaf spring set up. Usually the drag link will sorta clearance the oil pan. The V6 engine is also alot heavier then the origional 4 cyc. engine so the springs are going to settle quicker and they probably will not last as long. I would go with the 5 inch springs. With that extra weight you wont be as high as you think you will be. The 5 inchers will put you just about where you wont to be. If you have any questions you can give us a call as we all have experiance with this engine swap.
