Good start, keep the posts coming.
Any chance you can get a measurement for me? I'm combining three vehicles into one using an'83 four cyl into an '88 V6 4-Runner frame. I need to locate the motor mounts. What is the distance from the center of the mount to the back side of the front crossmember? If there's an easier point of reference just let me know what you used. Thanks. TC

I got the spring hanger welded up, im not done welding it up yet thought. when i finish welding it im going to put an 1/8 inch thick piece of flat bar between the hanger and the crossmember for extra strength, i dont like the size of the gap.i should have the swap done next weekend, im gona start the rear on sunday if its not raining.

Have fun cutting off all your IFS brackets.... For me to cut them off and metal finish the frame it took me almost 2 days. After that the swap went super fast. Locating the shackle hangars for the front and getting them in perfect line is difficult. If I was to do it over I woulda just bought the TG rear jigs and tubes, instead I used 1.5x.250 wall dom and turned it on the lathe to fit the bushings. Too much time... I shoulda spent the $20 on TG tubes.... Also I used 3/8 plate and welded it to the front and rear of the spring hangar and the factory multi holed rec. tubing above it wilth all the holes in it. I was going to slide a peice in between them but I found that doing it my way alowwed alot more support to the hangar. Ill ry to take pics tommorrow when its daytime...

when i mounted my rear spring i measure the 6in. forward for the spring mount and 3in. back for the shackle mount. but my axle sits about 2 inches back. the wheels are level in the wheel well and limits the travel. with the bl it flexs to the max but when i take the bl of i will lose 3 or more inches of upward travel.
so my question is if i get new spring hangers and move them about 2 in. forward of where they are now will i also have to move my shackle hangers,
heres a pic of where the wheel touches and my current shackle angle.

i also made some diff breathers for both axles. i used a nissan part that fits in the stock toyota diff breather hole. i has a long stem on it perfect for attaching tubing for a breather

i also decided to finally put in dual cases. so i picked up an extra t-case. and now i have lots off questions regarding a dual transfer case setup. my goal is to have the duals in by the first weekend of october.
i orderd a 23 spline input shaft from TG through foothill offroad which should be here tomorrow.
so when installing the 23 spline input shaft will i have to completly dissasemble the t-case or can i simply unbolt the reduction housing from the t-case and change out the input shafts?
I have a question about those breather extenders you made. what nissan part did you use?where did you get them. thanks, joey

the link above is a detailed install of them, and it includes the nissan part number. i was charged about 8 bucks for them, and then i bought the yellow air compressor tubing for 7 bucks and fastend the tubing to the stem with a small hose clamp
Ok, thanks. great build by the way. keep the pics coming
You can also go get a similar part at NAPA for like $2.50 a piece.
just take off ur existing breather & match the threads & hose size u want to use..

i got my tcase all taken apart, cleaned it up and then painted it.
and ill get it put all back together tommorrow.
are there any specific gears or parts that i should use grease on when putting the t-case back together?
also does anyone have a stock t-case rubber mount for sale, ill need another one when istalling my duals.
