I recently ordered the triple drilled flange a few weeks ago and when I was setting up my gears noticed that none of the holes on the triple drilled flange line up with the factory one that came off of it. Out of the three choices only one of the set of holes slightly line up. The housing is a V6 and 4cyl gears in which I don't think matter. I was just wondering if it is possilble if the holes got missed drilled or if I am doing something wrong? If you could let me know I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
David

The triple drilled flange has only 84 and later patterns. The 79-83 pattern uses smaller bolts. We prefer not to use the smaller bolts so we did not include those on the flange. The three patterns are 84+ 4Cyl CV, NonCV and V6.

Chris,
Thanks for the reply. The flange that I compared it to came out of a 1988 4runner V6. That is why I am confused. I can recheck to make sure or try to post a pic if you like when I get a chance.
Thanks,
David

It should work, try rotating the flange. It's possable there is another pattern but it would be a something I have never seen before. Can you measure the pattern centers and hole size?

Chris,
I measured the center of the bolt holes in a X pattern. The first measurement that I got was 3.66 inches and the other one was 2.54 inches. I forgot to measure the hole diameter and the flange is at work. Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
David

Chris,
I went ahead and compared the flange again just to make sure that I wasn't asleep when I did it, because it was early in the morning and the holes still didn't line up. Then I decided to compare your flange with my front diff flange and the holes lined up. I also remeasured the hole pattern and the bolt hole size. The bolt hole size is .435 inches and measuring from the center of the bolt holes in a X pattern the measurement it 3.664 inches both ways. If you like I can trace out my flange on paper and fax it to you if you like?
Thanks,
David

The triple drilled flange supports 4cyl CV and NonCV patters as well as V6 CV. It does not have a V6, NonCV pattern so it will work on the CV end but not the U-joint end of a drive shaft. I have updated the description on our web site to include this information.
If this is not going to work for your application we would be happy to give you a refund.

Chris,
Thanks for the reply and your help. I plan on keeping the flange because the third member is going into a 1985 p/u. The reason it became an issue is because a friend of mine made a jig to hold the flange so you can torque down the pinion nut and drilled the holes according to the flange that came off the diff and not your flange.
Thanks,
David
