It's Easter Jeep Safari time again, probably the worlds largest off road event of the year. This year marks the 40th year of the event. My son, Brian and I rolled into town on Monday night with the Trail-Gear Formula Toyota. After a few post competition adjustments we took a quick run through Hells Revenge to check out the rig. Then we checked in to our Hotel and picked up some dinner on Main street.

Tuesday we headed out to the Primedia run at area BFE. Over 100 trucks divided into groups and hit some of the great trails of Moab. We signed up for the Upper Helldorado.

Here are a few highlights...

Tracy Jordan and Shane Yoast were the only ones in our group to drive the last waterfall with out a winch

As I was standing at the top of the waterfall, I really did not expect to see Shane make it to the top without a winch. Shane positioned his rig on the waterfall and hit the throttle with authority. This was Shane's first time on the trail and he went up the obstacle on his first attempt. He rocketed to the top on his rear wheels and cleared the top with substantial speed and the front tires at least a foot off the ground. Shane credits his new Maxxis 40's tires with competition rubber and a front link system that causes the front to dive under throttle.
