Well I finished installing my 4" IFS eliminator kit. Wow the kit made it fast. So far so good but when I turn the wheels all the way to the steering stops one way and then go to turn them back the other way right about when the wheels aproach straight forwrd I get a "Clunk".

Same noise either direcion. Sounds like something is binding up when I crank them and then lets go or realigns when I straighten out.

Any ideas what it could be. Leaf springs twisting maybe?? I've never had a solid axle before so maybe this is normal? No driveshaft hooked up yet if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any insight.

Occasionally I get a clunk with mine when turning tight corners but I had a worse clunk and it turned out the steering stabilizer had worked loose. Might want to check it out otherwise I think it's just the leafs moving in the pack.

Thanks, I think it's the leafs. Not to worried about it.

I clearanced my body mounts so that it doesn't interfere with the shackle. The noise is coming from the militay wrapped end of the spring getting twisted up in the front spring hanger. When you recenter the wheels the pressure releases and it bangs into the other side of the hanger. Not a big deal but a bit annoying. Better than the old IFS steering stop noise though

I clearanced mine as well as I noticed the shackle was hitting it on flex. Thank god I don't have to listen to that steering stop noise anymore!

Oh god I hate that noise. Everyone at the mall parking lot stares when she starts a screechin, haha. Good thing it will be gone in a few weeks!!
