Q's for those who have done an SAS.

How much thread is exposed on the tie rod ends of the drag link? Mine show about an inch,meaning only about half of the TRE is in the tube, the ends on the tie rod are about half an inch which seems more like what it should be.
For those running 30spline longs, do your knuckles quit turning well before they contact the stops (which are turned all the way in)?
U-bolt Q- The one next to the 3rd member only goes about half way into the nut, guess I'll have to get one made longer. Is this common? (83 front end, round bottom u-bolts). Thanks, TC

not sure exactly how many threads should be showing, what i did was just eye ball the steering alignment and tighten the jam nuts then took it to have an alignment the next day.

on the ubolts just keep tightening them, it is common because the surface near the 3rd member is thicker then on the rest of the axle tube

No that U bolt should be long enough to go all the way through the nut. We need to send you a longer U bolt. That sounds like we sent you the wrong U bolt kit. Are they all the same length? Give us a call so I can see if we made a mistake, and I will get you one out today, with a free T shirt.
