I have one RUSTED out bed in my 86' p/u and ive gave it hell, i carry LOTS of stuff back there and this is my DD and i dont like toolboxes. i want a flat bed that i haul stuff in and not have to tie it all down. guys give me pics of your flat bed and ill see where to go from...

Here's some info on mine. I used about 60' of 1.5" square tubing with 1/8" wall.
I built the top hoop first. It's about 5'x5', so it's about 1' shorter than the original bed:

Then I built the bottom of the bed, and connected it to the top hoop with 6" vertical pieces. In this picture you can see my wooden prototype leaning against the left wall of the garage:

31" front to back (the longest part, at the bottom), 10" side to side, and 6" top to bottom.

not a flat bed but I would like this one:
these beds are made in canada and they are really nice. expensive but nice. i tried to get one a few years back but found out it cost as much to ship it as the price of the bed itself.

these are from New York, they are like $1400 assembled but you get them in kit form cheaper and build it yourself

i would say search on pirate and marlin.loads of posts on flat beds,its all in what u want to do,ive seen about everything i can think of for a yota flat bed,search and enjoy

thanks guys but my truck is probably gonna get totaled cause some blind woman hit me and damage was over $2200 to fix, so maybe ill get a 89+ yota to build...i hope...
