i bought a 5" ifs elimenator kit from TG a few months back and i am finally ready to get it going. my plans are to use 63" chevys for the rear but only give 2-3" of lift.. so what should i do to keep it level? i dont really want to have blocks. thanks for the imput..

you could get some longer shackles. a biddy of mine runs the 63"ers on his truck with blocks and it does pretty damn good. if you absolutly dont want to run blocks i think the only way is to buy some TG rears. there really nice springs. dont be intimidated by how many leafs they run. I was skeptical until i saw a friends truck with em and they flex like mad.

i would sell the 63s and get a matching rear kit. to get 5" out of the rear you will have to use large shackels and a block and will get good axel wrap..so you will need to also make a axel wrap bar...

You can used the stock chevies = 3"
add a long add-a-leaf = 1.5" - 2" (rancho, fabtech, procomp)
ORD 1" lift block = 1"
That should get you where you want to be. I know what you're thinking...no the add a leaf won't effect the flex of the spring if you use a long one. The shorter AAL will make it stiff and possibly eventually break the pack. The longer ones get you a little less lift, but a much better ride. The ORD lift block can be found here...http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm They are an awesome addition if you need just 1" of lift. Then you can adjust your shackle length for amount of lift and angle you need.
Just my 2 pennies...

yea i bought the 63" chevy spring hangar kit from sky also and i dont think there will be enough room for a block.. money is tight so i really dont know of a way to fund for a rear kit even if i sell what i have now..
