Anybody have a book or diagram on the specs when installing new bearings and shims on the knuckle ? I trying to find out which shims I may use to get the bearing preload right. I can just reuse the olds shims, cause when I got the axle the knuckles where already taking off. So I dont even know what shims went on the top or bottom.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Alan

Most of the axles I do I end up with about .030 on top and bottom. I set them up with about 8-10 lbs of drag without axles, steering or felts. With new felts installed it goes up to about 15 lbs. Use a fish scale pulling on the steering arm to measure the drag.
