rock sliders

Does anybody know if the trail gear rock sliders that are cut to fit will work on a 91 fj80? If they will what is the proper way to weld them to my frame? Do I need to disconect my battery and ECU?

The sliders will not fit an FJ80 due to the cat converter. For welding I don't disconnect the computer. I just make sure the ground cable in near my work.
