is the rear bumper rated for towing and can I buy a bracket that ties it into the frame so it will be mounted to the frame and rear crossmember to strengthen it up some? thanks and the bumpers look great.

You can tow up to 3500 lbs. No additional brackets are needed for towing.

Gidday,

I recently bought and fitted one of your bars to my 97 TJ.

I have spare parts left over from the latch, it works, but without having any instructions supplied, im hoping its right.

Regarding fitting, in order to utilise all 8 bolts, i was forced to cut scallops out of the bottom of each flare. i could have used only the top 4 bolt holes, but obviously this would not have been too flash. I dont really care too much about having to cut the flares, but other consumers might. The fitment pic is of a YJ i believe. this shows plenty of clearance between the flare and the bar, i am guessing that the vehicle has had a body lift.

Can i affix a 10000lb rated tow hook to a removeable hitch and once attached, snatch off it? With only a 3500lb tow rating im guessing not. However, the bar drops lower than the chassis rails where one would normally mount a hook. Do you have any solution to where to fit a 10000lb hook?

I look forward to hearing from you
