Well I finally got around to doing some more tweeking on my little tacoma... I'm running 4" TG spring front and rear.. I wasnt getting a whole lot of flex out my rear end.. Using the old forklift I was only getting around 24" off the ground before I would pull the opposing rear wheel...

So after taking a closer look at these springs I noticed that the top 4 leafs are bound together simply to hold the (in my opinion usless) axle wrap leaf.. Once I bent up the tabs and removed the extra leaf.. 42"!! What a difference!! :beerchug:

dude, very nice freaking truck. and way to do everything yourself. also, nice work figuring out your springs to get them to flex. i hate it when guys get new springs and then complain that they dont flex well. there are so many variables. nice work!

Heres a quick run down of my trac bar build.

Main tube is 2" OD - 3/16" wall

Inner Tube is 1 5/8" OD - 3/16" wall

I used all urethane bushings and 3/4" bolts.

2 grease zirks... and a little TLC...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/lbz134/TracBar2002.jpg

Cut 3/8" plate to fit into my existing gas tank crossmember. Then ran a triangulated brase back to the frame.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/lbz134/trac3003.jpg

I cut 1/4" plate to make the brackets on the axle..

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/lbz134/trac3001.jpg

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d185/lbz134/trac3002.jpg

Over all I'm real happy with how it turned out. Not to mention it works great, with no loss of articulation what so ever..
