Well long story short I blew the motor in my toy and now have a set of IFS width axles and a Toyota SAS kit sitting in my workshop...
I'm thinking about just picking up a zuk since they are much cheaper than toys around here and putting my axles underneath it. I know they will go in half assed with crooked shackles but I dont wanna do that. I've also heard you can move the perches in to match the zuk width on the toyota front axle, any comments on that?
I was thinking an even easier solution would be to take my toyota spring hanger from my SAS kit and mount it mid frame. Then match the width on the front shackle mounts. It seems easy enough... Can I get away with using TG toy springs under a zuk or are they gonna throw my axles off that bad?
Whats the lengths compared? Anyone wanna buy some Toy springs...

go to pirate4x4.com, and search NOODLES in the suzuki forum. I have toy rears all the way around with toyota axles ifs width rear and 1.8" spacers in front. I am running 37" tires and had to make it pretty high just to do it without having to cut my body. add leave to the rear set, and ad a couple to the front. my front axle is about 5" forward and the rear is about 1 or 2" back.

Alright since I've decided I dont want to sink insane amounts of money into this truck I'm going to set a budget for myself. The last truck I bought was $3000 (1995 red toyota pickup) and I paid way to much for it. This time around I am not spending insane amounts of money like I was ready to do on that truck.
Heres how I figure I'll spend my money to have a pretty well setup sami for some moderate woods trails and probably no rock crawling at all.
What I have: $2650
Toyota Front Axle : $350 (I know... I over payed)
36in Goodyear OZ's on Brand new 16.5x10 Rock Crawlers : $850
Armor, gussets, rebuild, and Sky spacers : $500
Toyota High Steer : $300
Built 4.88 locked toy third: $550
Shocks : $100
What I'll buy: $1350
Trail Gear Samurai 3" lift springs : $300
Toyota IFS rear end : $100
Another built 4.88 Toy third: $550
2" Sami Body lift : $100
Sky perches for front axle: $100
Extended brake lines : $100
IFS toy calipers : $100
Not that bad to only put in $1350 worth of parts. I still need to get a power steering setup ontop of that which is about $500. Say with spare parts that puts me at $2000. That leaves me $1000 to get bumpers/sliders/tcase gears/roofrack ect.

I'd personally run yj leaves over lifted samurai leaves. Sky makes a nice kit that isnt super expensive that allows you to do so.
TG 6.5 is insanely cheap for t-case gears, I wish they came out 2 months sooner, because I splurged 720 to get a 6.4 kit.
For ps, I would run an IFS toy box with a TC saginaw pump. Spidertrax and PSC make a mount for the TC pump to the suzuki block.
