Hey i wanna buy a sammy to drive frome oregon to colorado, i would like a soft top, sky yj kit, stock yj springs and toy axles, with 32-33's is this a good or bad idea? with a 1.3l moteor and 5.29 gears is a 33" tire gonna work on the freeway at 55-65 mph? the only rason i wannado this is i am planning to move to CO and want the most fuel efficient and capable 4x4!

Sounds like a good idea to me. If your gona a have a stock 1.3 Toy axles and 33's your gona need 4.1 or 5.1 or 6.5.1 gears in the t-case and 5.29 is good for the ring&pinion to maintain that 55-65 mph from 4th to 5th gears at all times through the mountains and 5th gear on open hyws. Astock t-case will kill your speed and gas milage. :thumbs:

I have a 1.6 16V, 6.5.1 in the t-case, 5.29 R&P w/36's I can hold 75 in 5th gear on wide open road and 65 through the mountains

so i am kinda gettin mixed opinions should i try to make it work or should i buy a friends 90 toy 4x4 ex cab pretty comfy pickup actually those were the type of options i am lookin at!

If the price is right on the truck, and its a 4 cylinder.buy it! If its a V-6 don't buy it. Those 90 yrs have bad problems w/blowing head gaskets.
