attica, in place called the badlands. july 10,11, and 12. $35 for the 3 days.
camping right outside the gate is $7 a night. izook.com has a link or go to www.zookimelt.com. i wheel there a lot. has great off camber trails, bottomless mud holes, sand, hills, and a great rock quarry that is only for trucks, no atvs.

i hear there is some good wheeling spots out west.

yeah there are great spots here in utah i use to live in northern utah huge rocks you need lots of articulation, short wheel base, low gears now i live in southern utah huge hills shell rock, you need less articulation much more stability and a much longer wheel base i had my sami/buggy at 89" wheelbase up north and down here im still the shortest of the bunch at 98" most run 100" to 105", ive never been wheeling anywhere else, but would love to

well it would be a long trip for ya, but people come from all over the country to this event. i would be surprized if there was less than 500 samurais there.
everything from all out tube buggies to stockers.

i'll be close to 86" when this rear to front swap is done. how in the world do you get to 105??? lol never mind,,i dont want to know!! i can see how the shorter is better for big rocks and longer better for climbs. i'm just trying to get an all around rig. capable off road, yet is still street legal. trying to stay with sami axles, i have a spare everything for them, except left rear shaft now. lol

hey i have another question if you dont mind?? my front locker is on the way and i wanted to beaf up the front axle shafts with rings. i pulled the shafts out of my spare housing and noticed there are burn marks on the birfield above every bearing. the birfield was packed with grease. is this common with birfields or does it mean its starting to fail?? would it be worth while putting the rings on these axles?? cant really afford the good axles yet. thanks

yeah that happens at the top of the birf it gets starved of lube (gravity) just put extra lube in ther you can never have too much, 105" is acomplished by lenthening the frame, im maxed out at 98" with my axles relocated on my springs so they are not in the center, ill be going to 100" this weekend by using a teraflex long arm kit from a tj wrangler so i will not need my frame extended since i will no longer be using the spring hangers:thumbs:
