I have a 91 samurai. I put a rocky road weld on spoa kit on it and ever since then things are no good with drive train. When i take off it vibrates real bad until about 35mph and then it stops. when i try to engage the 4 wheel drive it grinds real bad, even at a dead stop. the t-case m.ounts are the origanal ones. i replaced one that was completley torn. didnt vibrate as bad but still have the issue with the 4 wheel drive grinding when i try to engage it. Never had this problam until i lifted it. Any ideas i would appreciate.:shout:

:mad:Rocky Road is one of your problems. Those stock t-case mounts break very easily. Buy yourself some of the Trail Gear solid t-case mounts Check to make sure you don't have a bad u-joint in the d-line. Are your d-line bolts tite. I'm assuming that the R.R. SPOA caused your Samurai to be lifted higher than you wanted w/the combination of your springs. When you welded your new spting perches on did you rotate your pinion up a bit so your not gona kill your d-lines on the angles. Chawk up the front tires and lift up the rear and run it off the ground so you can possibly see where the vibration is coming from.

There was a guy on zuwharrie that found a possible solution for the vibration in the drivetrain.
