i,m starting some exo cage and rollbar work on my 85 toyota this week .one of the plans is to cut a couple holes in the cab to run some dom tube threw do they make a groumet or something to fillthe hole around the tube ?? or do u slap it with a handful of mud and go ???

McMaster-Carr has some rubber grommets with an inner diameter of 1.5", the size of the hole would have to be no smaller than 1.75", and the overall outer diameter is 2.125". They're like $12 for 25. This will be the best bet to keep the noise down. Using a standard grommet your chassis flexes and you will get some movement out of the cab. Now I know these are expensive but i know I have seen them cheaper but if you can find something like this I would go with this style over a standard grommet. This was used in a shelby cobra quite often. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask me.

thanks .i just picked it up from the fab shop .i dont have a pic yet .i had thgem leave out the tubes that are going to go threw the body for now .becuz i didnt know what i wanted to do your idea looks like a winner .i,ll have to see if i can find some.
