Sure....

The rear shackle mount should be 6" from the end of the frame to the center of the shackle bolt...

The front hangers should be 16.5" from the front of the factory crossmember to the center of the spring pin....

Once we have this runner finished I plan to write up some install notes on the process.

Can't wait to see some good directions on swapping a 2nd Gen 4Runner to leaves. I have been asked for my dimensions 3 separate times from guys doing the same swap. This is something you guys need to have on your site!

Default Nice Flex!

That thing flexes like crazy! Can you give the details:
- Springs (front and rear)
- Body Lift?
- Tire Size?

I need to get more flex out of my 87 SAS'd runner, it has pretty stiff leafs, not sure what they are.

I have the 5 inch Heavy Duty springs in the front with 6 inch shackles and the 5 inch springs in the rear with 6 inch shackles. In the picture I have 36 13.50 tires on it on a 15x10 rim.

No body lift? Does that sit pretty level with the HD springs in the front, and the lower springrate in the rear?

I am in the middle of leveling it out right now. The 6inch shackles should be going on the rear tonight and i might have to move the front mount of the rear leafs but it should sit level when im done. Its pretty close right now.

Well i have the 6 inch shackles in the rear and it still sags a little in the rear, I might mess with the shackle angle a little bit, the locations were all test locations for the mounts. I will let you know how it goes.

I finally took some more pics of the 4-runner today. I have been sick all this week so i haven't had a chance to work on it until today. I welded up the motor mounts and put the shock hoops and front shocks on. I also made a rear shock hoop. To get the 4 runner level i had to move some mounts around and play with the springs a little bit too. In the rear i ended up moving the frame mount for the leafs forward an inch to get a better shackle angle and to also clear the fenders when the vehicle is flexed out. I still have 6'' shackles all around with 5'' springs in the rear and 5'' HD spring in the front but in the front i removed the bottom 2 leafs and it now sits level. I will get some pics of the new location of the rear mount soon. I am hoping this week to get the rear drive line made and do a few more little things like attach brake lines and adjust the timing. Next weekend i am hoping to get the rock sliders welded on. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

We will be taking the 4-runner to the TG Rock ranch this weekend for a photo shoot of the new front and rear bumper designs for that generation. Pics will be up Monday hopefully.

We are gearing up now for full production. In house production jigs are just about done. Product release is about two weeks away for both the 84-88 and 89-95 models. Complete front bumper price is $299 inlcuding winch mount, stinger, and front receiver tubing.

Still working on the rear bumper models.

Chris,

The front bumper looks great! Will it be possible to mount a 8274 winch on that bumper?

I am looking for a front bumper now and I have an 8274 winch contemplating on a bumper but if I can't bolt it up I will have tohave one custom made

The 8274 winch has the same warn bolt pattern, you will probably have to trim the grill for it to fit due to the integrated solenoid unlike the winch on my 4-Runner.

The 8274 warn winch otherwise know as an upright dosent have integrated soleniod. They look like this and the solenoid clamps to the motor. They are big and bulky, but they are the strongest, and fastest winch warn has ever made imo.

For real. I have a tubing bender and for the cost of steel and the fact that this bumper is just about identical to the one I was going to build... I'll just buy it and save the time and hassle of building it.
