Default Prospective samurai purchase, opinions please :)

I've been looking for a samurai for a while to build a trail toy with

I came across one for sale, an '87...it already has a SPOA lift done, and I was hoping to get some opinions whether or not the lift looks good or looks like it will need to be redone.

One concern I have is - it is supposedly a 5" lift...which seems appropriate for the front, but the rear looks about 3" lower than the front! Looks funny, definitely will need to fix that. I was thinking maybe the leaf springs are worn out. Thoughts, how hard to fix? Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure it is has been re-geared too...I had a tough time getting it to go 55 mph on flat ground...which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as it was done right.

The other problems I can tell with it are bald tires, and the rear pumpkin looks like it is leaking fluid.

Does it look like I'll need a whole new lift kit or could I retain parts of what is already there and upgrade from that? Just from looking at other lift kits online, the trail tough YJ complete kit is a bit pricey but looks like a good one for what I want. I will probably drive it to work a couple times a week (city only) and find trails on the weekends here in new mexico, and get sucked into it more and more as time goes on haha

Thanks,
Scott

All depends on how much they are asking and it would be a great buy just replace those rear springs cause they look worn to hell. looks like a normal YJ kit and it has a header on the engine from the looks of the bottom pic
